The EmpowerHER Experience

Diversity creates possibility.

EmpowerHER brings together women with different experiences, perspectives and networks, and creates the space for something different to happen.

You can ask for help. You can offer what you know. You meet women you might never otherwise have met, and the relationships, ideas and opportunities continue long after the conversation ends.

What it feels like

Most of us don’t walk into a room and immediately say where we’re struggling.

At EmpowerHER, those are often the conversations that matter most.

Someone asks for help and other women lean in. Someone offers an introduction. Someone else has been through exactly the thing you are trying to work out. Then the conversation turns and another woman needs something you know, so of course you help too.

There is no pitching and no posturing.

It is open, generous and surprisingly easy.

The table

We bring the mix together on purpose.

You don’t build an EmpowerHER table from people who all look, think or work like you.

A founder, a lawyer, a singer and actress, a finance leader, an investor, and someone navigating an entirely different chapter of her life will each see different answers to the same question.

That difference is the point.

It creates the conditions for women to share perspectives, ask for help and discover connections they could not have planned for themselves.

Give & Gain

Every EmpowerHER table starts with one simple exchange:

One thing you need.
One thing you can give.

Before you arrive, we ask both questions.

It helps us create the mix around the table and it changes the nature of the conversation from the beginning.

Everyone has asked for something, so nobody feels as though they are taking.

Everyone has something to offer, so nobody arrives simply to consume.

When someone has just given you their time, experience or an introduction, helping the next person feels natural.

That exchange continues beyond the table and across the wider EmpowerHER community.

Give something.
Ask for something.
See what happens.

What you take with you

Some of the value is easy to describe. Some of it only becomes obvious once you are part of it.

Support

Honest help when you’re stuck, from women who may already have been where you are.

New rooms

Invitations, conversations, stages and opportunities you may not have known existed until someone opens the door.

Commercial opportunity

Work, clients, investors and collaborations that emerge through relationships where trust already exists.

Connections

Introductions you might otherwise spend months trying to find, from experts and partners to funders, clients and collaborators.

Friendship

People in your corner. Often the part a traditional professional network cannot give you.

Expert help

Practical access to women with knowledge and experience you can draw on when you need it.

Fun

Laughter, shared experiences and doing things together. Because relationships deepen when we enjoy ourselves too.

Learning

Conversations, workshops and programmes that help you build knowledge, confidence and capability.

The conversation doesn’t end at the table.

An introduction becomes a conversation.

A conversation becomes an opportunity.

A piece of advice saves you days of figuring something out alone.

Someone you met once becomes the person you call six months later.

The real value of EmpowerHER is often what happens after everyone leaves the room.

“Beyond the friendships, it’s given me the confidence and support to start investing in early-stage businesses.”

A table that keeps growing

Tables don’t close. They extend.

Women move between conversations, make introductions beyond the people they first met and bring new perspectives into the community.

You find your table, and then your tables.

Come and experience it for yourself.

Join one of our open gatherings, meet some of the women around the table and get a feel for EmpowerHER before deciding whether you want to become part of it.

There’s a seat at the table.
